Rain drops wet blanket on many holiday plans
Boredom was widespread yesterday as fierce wind and persistent rained raced over Ocean Boulevard in Hampton, apparently sweeping all the tourists away, too. The last few days of bad weather were a bittersweet send-off to a summer season with almost universally good weather. Business was booming for most of the summer. Not so this week.
